Type of a scam Rental
I booked a month stay in San Francisco (for 10/5/15) on their website. However, my plans for attending a class didn’t fall through and i had to cancel plenty of time in advance (9days), and they refused to refund my money of $1300. After 2 weeks of back and forth emails (nobody could be contacted by phone), they only returned $400 of my money and offered me a free week stay at any of their properties. I accepted feeling I had no choice.
On 10/15/15, I took them up on their offer of the free week stay in Santa Monica, LA (for 11/15/15), and told them I’d possible book a subsequent 2-3 months for a class I was attending if plans went through. They reserved the week for me and coerced me to pay again for the 2-3 months to secure my spot, to which I declined. In trying to clarify the check-in procedures for my free week, I called again and again, with no answer. And when I emailed to inquire, I was told, that the apartment was no longer available after the 15th of November.
The fact that I haven’t been able to get a hold of anybody by phone and the above facts leads me to believe that this place is a scam. I have evidence of above claims if needed.
