My daughter and I have contacted this business via email and calls with NO personal response back from the business. My daughter is NOT A INMATE at stated in their website. False accusations against or statements is published about my daughter. Defamation of character will cause severe harm to another person’s reputation for future employment . We demand the removal of her name on their website.

Total money lost $30.47

Type of a scam Online Purchase

A family member was recently incarcerated and I was trying to arrange to put money into an account to make telephone calls. This is the first time I’ve done this, so I was not familiar to the process. InmateAid was on the same page of the correctional facility so I thought the company was a legitimate option. I filled out the information they asked for including credit card number. They charged my account $30.47 but never provided information as to how my family member would be able to access the account. I contacted my bank to put a stop payment but was told it was too late because the amount was pending already. I now think this company is a scam that preys on people who are trying to help someone but doesn’t know exactly how. I will probably not able to get my money back, but I hope someone looks into this. If InmateAid puts misleading information on every correctional facility website, many people could be cheated out of money.
