Total money lost $127
Type of a scam Online Purchase
Ordered online August 28, 2019 a trial product called Ingredient Science *** *** for the agreed to cost of shipping which was $6.95 Canadian. The order #670077 invoice stipulated I was ordering 1 free trial at no cost and $6.95 shipping. This product is advertised as a weight loss product endorsed by the TV show Sharks. I Received a notice from Canada Post on september 6, 2019 at 3pm stating that product had been delivered to my mail box. When I opened the shipment there were 1 bottle containing 1 months supply but the info sheet that was with the package stated I had received a 14 day trial and if I wished to cancel I could call 1-888-703-9850. It stated I would be required to ship back the extra pills prior to the 14 day trial expiration period. I called the number above on September 16, 2019 to cancel, as I did not wish to continue receiving any further product and did not wish to pay for it. This was well within the 14 day trial period. I noticed today September 24, 2019 that i had been charged for the product from my bank account today, September 24, 2019. These charges were for the full amount of the "free" trial product. When I asked them about this they said that they would keep the money because the 16th was the last day of the 14 day trial period. After arguing with them about the fact that I had called in previous on the 16th, she said there are no notes on file and pretty much to bad so sad. Did u get the persons name and ID number, well no because the person did not give me her ID number. As I spoke to the girl today, she didnt even provide me with her ID number, until I asked for it. She was really rude and not friendly. And stated were third party company cant help you so you dont get your money back. Wow, if this is how a business runs and I asked for a supervisor or manager higher than her so pretty much said, if there nothing else I can help you with today have a great day and hung up. Its Crazy because it took 8 days for delivery. I tried to respond to their confirmation email but it was a noreply email address. They also sent me a notice along with the cancellation that I now must send them back the product and pay for the shipping again. I called them again and told them that I had paid to ship the trial amount only. I had not ordered more than the trial and the invoice confirmed that they had sent 1 trial quantity for $0.00. I have copies of everything. I am scared that they will bill my visa again for the full amount if I don’t send them the bottles back. This is a huge scam and they should not get away with duping their prospective customers like that. So now when I try and call the number again, I get hung up on.
