The scammer called my elderly mother and said they were going to renew her computer security service that she purchased 2 years ago from Best Buy at a cost of $299.99. My mother has not purchased a computer in over 10 year, secondly I pay for her McAfee Security protection. My mother asked me to call and find out what they were talking about. I called from my cell number and I told them I was returning their call. They gave me the same sales pitch without asking me my name or any other contact information. I told them I had not purchased a security package and I asked them what number did they have. The man with a very strong foreign accent indicated that they had called my cell number, which probably showed up on his caller ID. I told him that was a lie and the number I called from was not the number they used to contact me and that I would be reporting him to the BBB.
