Type of a scam Phishing

I have been receiving multiple scams from "Customer Service" so now I am leary of calls. Had received a call in the afternoon from 405-271-0000. I did not answer it. Went to internet to perform a "reverse" lookup and it was on the internet as being a phone number from OU but no calls could be made to this number as it is an "outgoing line" from OU and could be from any department. Am an RN and have been applying for jobs, so when the same number called in the evening, I answered the 405-271-0000 thinking it might be safe. The caller stated his name is Ron and is calling from OU and wants to know if I will perform a randomized survey on "smokers". I am not a smoker but stated "yes" to performing the survey. Then the caller asked for my phone number and wanted me to voice my phone number back to him. That made me suspicious as Ron called me. I then hung up. Hope this person really was from OU. But some days I receive 3 spam calls from a customer service asking if I can hear him so the person can record me saying "yes".
