Type of a scam Employment
I was sent an email from someone using the name ‘Jennifer Hatch’ inviting me to a job briefing/interview for a work-at-home data entry job opening at a company called Trafigura. I had to go through Google Hangout to get in contact with the hiring manager, Sherry Hunter, who basically offered me the job after only asking a few questions. She then told me to wait to receive a check in the mail that would cover the cost of all working materials. When I received the check, it was made out for $4800.00, way more than expected for the cost of a printer. There were signs that this could be a scam right from the get-go, but I decided to wait to receive the check just in case this actually was a dream job. This could have been difficult to determine whether or not this was a legit job or not, because they were using a company name that already exists, a bank that exists, and there are even some positive reviews depending on the way you type in your search.
