Type of a scam Phishing
On my phone the caller ID shows (521)028-5265, when I spoke to the person I asked for a call back number and she gave me (800)510-6121. She said she was calling from the ScamPulse.com refund department, that I have a refund due to me, I told her that I would call her back and hung up. When I dialed back both of the numbers, I could not get connected, a message said that my call could not go through, or that the number is no longer in service. How were they able to dial out from a number that is no longer in service? Or, is it possible that my phone caller ID has been compromised by a computer dialing scheme? Or, have they been able to corrupt the phone companies caller ID service?
