Received a phone call falsely representing PCH advising I won 2nd place in the amount of $750,000. Gave me his name and the winning number s long with serial number. Also gave me a phone number go call back on go verify legitimacy. Called the number I the call came from. The person who answered said she was the valley’s secretary and I was to call the number I was given. I called that number back stating I wasn’t sure if this was legit. He knew my name and address. Asked where I would be depositing my cashier’s check I won. Would not give info only that it was so credit union. Said he was acting as my agent go protect me and help me through the process with the IRS. Said he would cal me later with the time and date the prize patrol would be coming to drop off the check. Caller stated I won $750,000 in sweepstakes and just needed to pay 1% "taxes" due, or $750. I told caller I couldn’t afford that much, and he hung up on me.
