Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received a fake check drawn off HSBC BANK. An image of the check is attached. The routing number on the check was 070652762. The check was from Medtep’s vendor, Frontier Communications, for the the purchase of equipment to work from home for Medtep. The whole thing was a scam in an attempt to clear the funds in our checking account. The check bounced and we were charged a returned check fee. Please help stop this scam from hurting other people.
