Type of a scam Tax Collection
The caller identified himself as a criminal investigator for the IRS. Wanted a call back to them 1(919)838-7072 or an arrest warrant would be issued on my name and identity. Two separate calls on August 10, 2017, one at 11 am and another at 5 pm. The later call is where the message said I needed to call or the arrest warrant would be issued. These calls were on my voicemail as I do not generally answer numbers I don’t know. I do not believe the IRS calls people so this was an immediate red flag..
