Type of a scam Employment

I uploaded my resume to an employment website Career Connect and was contacted by BeatSarcoma.Org., a non-profit organization © 2018 BEATSARCOMA. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. BeatSarcoma is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity.

Our EIN is ***. You can access information about BeatSarcoma at https://businessfilings.sos.ca.gov/

The position offered was a Work From Home Admin. Asst. and they scheduled me in an email for an interview over Google Hangout for the next morning at 9am. I had to respond to the email to accept and I did. Things that raised my suspicion of a scam: (1)The picture of the interviewer was a caucasian woman, but the dialogue during the interview chat was not that of a professional woman of any color; (2) the job description was a mile long to work from home but…..they are opening up an office in my city in 3 days! (3) 1 week of training at $30/hr and upon completion of training $50/hr with benefits, stock options, paid vacations, etc (4) they will send me a check to buy all the equipment needed for this job: printer, fax, photo copier, Mac Book, software, etc. and asked could I be trusted with the company’s money. Then they sent me an Employment Offer Letter that needed to be signed, dated and faxed back ASAP and the person who’s name was typed at the bottom as the sender was also signed in pen but it was a different name. I checked out their Facebook page which hasn’t been updated since 2017. The only info they got from me, which they already had from my resume was name, address, cell phone. I figured the bank account, SS# and date of birth would be required soon which would give them access to my funds, and after receiving the Employment offer Letter I didn’t respond to them anymore. Below is their Board of Directors:

I went to Curesarcoma.org and BeatSarcoma or none of their names listed above are on this curesarcoma.org website. This scam just proves that "if it sounds too good to be true…..it ain’t true!"
