I was contacted be Impact Mediation in regards to a collection debt obtained by payday loan company- "Gateway Holding," and was told that action was being placed against me because I owed $1400, 25% of what I did not "pay" previously, I know I have never taken out a payday loan from this company, there is also nothing on my credit report. They knew where I worked, lived, where I banked, and the last 4 digits of my social security number. It is scary, and I am concerned not only for myself, but others. Please SHUT THEM DOWN! I have already contacted my bank.

I received multiple phone calls from a 512 area code with them leaving messages about a debt that I owed. After them leaving 3 messages in one day I decided to call the number and find out what it was all about. The male person that answered the phone transferred me to a woman and she told me that I owed money regarding a payday loan that I took out in 2012 when I lived in Tulsa, OK. I did not live in Tulsa OK in 2012 and did not take out pay day loans in 2012 so I knew that this was a scam. The woman asked me why I took out the loan in a very rude way and I told her that I did not take it out. She told me that they had all of the information from the company and that I did owe the money and wanted to know how I wanted to take care of it. I told her that it was not mine and that I wasn’t going to take care of it. She transferred me to someone else that stated that she was able to help me with the payment of the debt. When I told her that I was not going to pay it she got very rude with me and told me that they would take me to court and I would owe more money than just what they were offering. I told her I was not going to pay it and hung up. I then received an email from them with a restitution letter which is attached. The name on the paper that I received is not even my legal name.

Have been receiving phone calls from different numbers across the United States from a company call Impact Mediation. They have been calling me stating that there are two allegations against me and one complaint. They said if I don’t call their legal department back they will actively pursue me at my residence and place of employment. The young lady that called this time, name is Karen Dexter and gave a number to call back. I did call back they asked me to confirm the last four of my social and when I would not Karen stated that I wasn’t cooperating and they will start pursuing me. Karen wouldn’t give me any information unless I confirmed the last of my social. I hung up.
