Impact Marketing

I was contacted by Jaimee Goldstein by phone. She said she worked with Upscale Marketing and wanted to feature my hemp business in Golfer’s Digest for four country clubs around Nashville. She offered me two pages of advertising space for a $600 yearly fee. The magazine was apparently going to go out to all golf club members on a quarterly basis. She needed an answer quickly on whether or not I wanted the ad space and said she could go ahead and secure my spot as THE wellness company of choice if I went ahead and signed up today. I said I would get back to her after talking with my family (it’s a small, family owned business). I called the country clubs that the magazine apparently went out to and they confirmed that there is no Golfer’s Digest subscription for their members. This woman is a scammer. Apparently this woman has tried to scam other people based on a quick google search.

Our office was contacted by Jaimee Goldstein at Impact Marketing about being featured in a yachting magazine. Jaimee asked to speak to the business owner who is also the plastic surgeon. Jaimee told the doctor that she would like to feature her in their magazine as the only plastic surgeon and that the magazine is distributed to local yacht clubs. The options were $700 for a half page or $1000 for a full page feature. After this initial conversation, the doctor asked that I follow up with Jaimee because I handle the marketing for our office. I called Jaimee and left a voicemail requesting she send us a copy of the magazine so that we could see it in person and that she tell us which local yacht clubs they distribute to. She emailed me that she could not send a copy of the magazine due to membership privacy and she sent a list of yacht clubs. She also mentioned another offer in email to be featured in more publications for an higher rate of $1500. I called the yacht clubs and they had never heard of the publication or the company. When I spoke to Jaimee again she because agitated at the additional questions and it became clear there was no publication. I told her we did not feel comfortable paying without seeing a hard copy beforehand and she quickly ended the conversation and hung up.
