I received a friendly text message from what appeared to be one of my friends on Facebook In reality, it was not her at all.Someone had taken her profile photo and was posing as my friend. They had logged in to Messenger without Facebook with a phone number from the United States. Text messages began with "Hi dear and how are you doing"? followed by "Have you heard the good news about IMF giving out grant this year"?followed by "IMF is International Monetary Funds. They are having promotional program to help people in the society with cash to improve standard of living.I received the sum of 100,000.00 as a lucky winner and did you receive yours too?" At this point I called my friend via messenger & got no answer.Called via landline & informed her about imposter. Meanwhile imposter knew I tried to call them& sent me a text apologizing"they couldn’t answer-their phone fell & malfunctioned, but did I get my winnings yet?Because when their winnings were delivered, they saw my name on the winners list right after theirs." Last text told me to claim my winnings before its too late – call Agent Bob Michael at 334-721-0304.
