The address seemed real. 126 York St. Ottawa Ontario. K1N5T5. I spoke with "Vanessa m***" several times. I felt comfortable.

>

> I have been through this process before I knew what to expect. Sent copies of my Identification. Income Documents. Most communication was via Email I have 18 emails back and forth between "Vanessa" and me. We spoke four times on the phone. Everything seemed legit. communication started from 11th Feb until yesterday feb 28th when I sent in the required secured deposit.

>

> Understanding that my credit is *** I would be high risk. I was advised that I would Have the option of cosigner. Collateral or 1000$ deposit which was to be sent via emt. I would recieve the deposit back after three months of continuous payment. 221.43$ per month for 60 months at an interest rate of 11.6% the loan was for 10,000$

>

> I talked this over with my husband. Went back and forth on the decision. He looked at the site and was recieving cc emails from "Vanessa".

>

> We agreed to send the deposit. "Alison" at the email provided. I then received a loan agreement where "Vanessa" said she signed. But when I looked there was no signature. Then the deposit was accepted and I had yet to receive anything back regarding the loan that’s when I knew something was off. It ate at me all night. I started googling.

Devin –

Total money lost $3,000

Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

I am a small sole proprietor business owner who is struggling in the weakened economy. I’ve been online applying for loans, in hopes to get me through a slow period. I received confirmation by email that my request had been approved. Vanessa Morgan an ideal credit company sent me what looked like a very legit breakdown of a $40,000 loan with repayment over eight years with a 10% interest rate. She required the typical information Photo ID, banking information, as well as a deposit. When asked for the deposit I got very leery and begin to question her. She explained that because I was Considered a high-risk loan and would need to secure the loan with $2000 deposit, that would be tacked onto my loan after I had made three months worth of payments on time, per the contract agreement. She asked for the deposit to be done by E transfer, The entire time I was stressing my discomfort with the process she assured me and reassured me that it was a legit company attaching what looked like a legit website link to one of our emails. She then CC’d Anne in finance to confirm the process. From that point on things seem to go smoothly. “Both” Women keep in regular contact with me through the process. I sent the deposit on a Tuesday evening I was told the funds will be deposited by end of the day Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon I received an email from Anne stating that I was going to need to purchase insurance for the loan. Right away I knew it was a scam, I questioned her as to why there was an issue, or why it hadn’t been brought up sooner. She said that the lender was not comfortable with me receiving the loan without having insurance as I was high risk. I was sent an official letter that broke down life insurance, disability insurance, loss of work insurance totalling $999.23. I told her immediately that I was not comfortable with it. That was a surprise I didn’t expect on the day I was promised a deposit. But because I am in a tight position I borrowed and was relying on these funds I ignored my gut instinct, borrowed the $999.23 from a friend assuring her that the loan would be in place by Thursday and I would be able to repair it. Thursday went by and there was no deposit. Today I spent all day trying to get in contact with either Anne or Vanessa with no luck. I’ve sent at least eight emails and I’ve made at least four phone calls to Vanessa. I came on this site to see if there was other people experiencing the same scam. In one of the reports I read ”Anne’s” name. I am 100% sure I have been scammed. $3000! I am a single mom and a business owner during a slow time in a horrible economy. This loss is honestly going forced me to close my doors. I cannot believe I fell for thus. Please beware! I will be filing claim with anyone I can on Monday. Although I know that non of this was my $3000 returned to me. This is a very sad day, I can not believe I’ve put my business and family at risk. I honestly thought I was smarter than this
