Type of a scam Employment
I first received an email from Alice Myles ([email protected]) who offered me a project manager position making $90,000 a year. I filled out their application and questionnaire and was told that phase 1 of the training would be 4 weeks long and if I was selected to do phase 2 of the training, that would take place in New York and they would pay all expenses for me to come to New York. Phase 1 of the training was to pay $2,000 to $4,000 depending on how well I did on the tests. They began by sending me packets of what looked like excerpts from an international shipping manual and then emailing me a test every Friday to determine how well I read and understood the information. In week 2, they mentioned doing an additional training project that would improve my chances and increase my overall scores. The project that they wanted me to do was for their procurement dept and would have a salary of $400 a week and would end when my phase 1 training did. They then told me that they want me to transfer purchase order money from IBC Transportation onto my own credit card to purchase laptops, scanners, printers and the like for a new office they are opening in Europe. I have been skeptical about this from the first but as long as they weren’t asking me for any money all it was costing me was about 30 mins a week.
