Type of a scam Debt Collections
They called me and left message on my VM. They mentioned my name and the call was in an attempt to collect a debt.
I called back. I got an answering machine, asking for a ID number, but if you do not know, then press number 2. I pressed 2 and it asked if my first three letters of my first and first three letter of my last name were correct. I said yes.
I was directed to a live agent. They verified my name and phone number. I said yes it is me.
They mentioned a ENT doctor to whom I seen about 6 months ago or so saying that I have an overdue bill, and how I would like to pay Right Now.
I said that it did not sound familiar and I will have to verify this information before dealing with them. I hung up.
I went onto my insurance website and researched my files, nothing. I called my ENT office to verify their records, thinking perhaps I missed something, nothing on file. So I want to report these people. I surely hope they are caught.
