Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
while listening to a gospel radio station Atlanta, Ga. there was an advertisement stating that if you had credit card debt, to call this number and one’s credit card interest could be significantly reduce.The person who assisted me gave me false information, stated that my credit interested would be significantly reduce in 1 year by paying $400.00 dollars a month in one year, This piqued was told to not pay anymore credit card bills, and that more information would be forth coming. when I was asked to do a power of attorney and to send a blank chek and to mark it void, I became very suspious. I though to myself anybody could have access to my checking acount # as well as my routing # in a day or so someone else called for more information. and gave me another # to call who would be my paralegal, explained to the paralegal that I was given false info. at this point I called the BBB, and BBB said they were not accredited. I did as I was asked in terms of not paying my 3 credit cards,, guess what!!!!!!!!!!! my credit scored dropped almost 40 points. Thank God!!!!!!!!! they asked for that voided check, I believe they are targeting elderly people, because most people listening at that time of day probably are retired and elderly. The younger population are out working, I just happen to be off that day.
