I placed my resume online at Ziprecruiter. Express Employment Professionals contacted me via e-mail, and referred me to contact Joshua Tan on google hangouts. After interviewing, I was offered a position of receptionist @ 39.84 per hour.I was told to look out for a check via Fedex being sent to my home for equipment. I was to deposit this check into my account and then purchase the laptop and accessories with the funds. I received an offer letter through e-mail, and then was told to check in daily with google hangout. There is no company phone number on any paperwork provided.The contact information is vague. The company is based in Singapore, and there are numbers on the website, although no phone numbers are provided. The e-mail address is a common address, without encryption.Almost all companies ask for your personal information. This person tells me that my hours are already adding up and my payroll will reflect the google hangout conversation time. Beware of this attempt to use your account for deposits of unknown origin. Why would i need to deposit this check, and then purchase equipment.wouldn’t a company have a corporate account, and have me simply pick it up or have it shipped?
