‘Hijacked’ robo calls appear to be coming from Avon Lake, 440-653-XXXX, AVONOHACH00 switch code, always Nextel-Sprint-Spectrum customers’ numbers. But if one stays on the phone thru the recording and speaks to a live representative, they are from California, selling free equipment and installation of home security system for $54.99/month monitoring fees. One cannot simply block the caller as the incoming numbers are never the same. We notified Spectrum that their Avon Lake switch has been hacked but they didn’t seem overly eager nor optimistic about trying to solve the problem.

I get multiple calls a day from “Kelly” at “Home Security Systems”. Each time it’s an automated call stating that I’m pre approved for a low cost home security system and each time it is a different phone number linked to the same city of St. Peters, MO. I’m assuming they’re attempting to steal my money and info by selling a fake product because I looked them up and the business does not exist. When you call them back their phone number is no longer active.

Call that started with question: "Can you hear me?". I answered yes, then realized I was listening to a recorded message from a "Home Security Systems" company, and hung up before providing any further information. I have not yet seen any false claims against my bank, credit cards or phone charges, but am worried that it will happen, since this scam is so common. Not sure how to dispute any false claims if they attempt to say I agreed to a service contract for home security system.

Wants to install a wireless security system for free. Will not give his address or extension. Wanted money upfront. The voice first on the phone was a recording of someone that spoke very good English. Then switched to someone with a foreign accent with the same name. They called 3 of our numbers. The cell phone of the owner of our business, his son’s cell phone, then the land line for our business. They answered to "James" . It was clearly 2 separate people, one of which was a recording. This same phone number and "company" tried to scam my mother a few months ago and I reported them then also. Please stop this company before they scam our elderly. -Thank You.
