Holiday Sands International

Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

My husband received a cold call from sales rep of Holiday Sands International of a package deal for all inclusive vacations: He chose Grand Oasis Sens in Cancun, Mexico, then we can go on a cruise and then another all inclusive hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He paid $810 US Dollars to upgrade to 7 days not worth it. They claim to be affiliated with Marriott Rewards Vacations, I called Marriott Corporate but that was a lie as in order to book with Marriott, we need to book directly. We had questions and they never return calls from Holiday Sands as it took over 3 weeks to reach a rep to actually answer questions and book hotel. Not only are they liars but incompetency runs rapid. No actual street and city, state or zipcode with this market group. The Grand Oasis Sens in Cancun was supposed to be 5 Star but more like a 2 star as rude front desk staff where nothing works: No A/C, television or room phone to call international and they refused to move us to a different room as the excuse is Sorry but all booked. Not true. Horrible Horrible Horrible.

They represent to be promoting Marriott Vacation Club. Until a vacation gets paid for, you then get to see the properties that they promote. They is nothing affiliated with Marriott. Also, trying to book a vacation is also problematic as no one will answer the phone or respond to emails regarding availability. They are using the Marriott name to garner confidence in vacation destinations, however, they do not represent venues with any Marriott affiliation.

Prior to purchasing I did a search looking for a potential scam and did not find anything.
