We were purchasing a Havanese puppy from someone who proported to be a Havanese Breeder. The website shows a number of puppies for sale with pictures and names. The website is very professional. We decided on the one we were interested in. The breeder requested $600 via moneygram which was sent by mistake thru Wallmart to Wallmart. We received a phone call explaining that we needed to send a money gram instead, which unfortunately we did the next day. The cost of the puppy included door to door service for an additional $50 which we declined as we were told we could simply pick the puppy up at the airport, and a date was set – 08/11/18. We received a text which we confirmed via phone that the puppy was handed over to a "shipper" and we would be notified from them about the flight itinerary. Low and behold we got a text that there was an issue with the private carrier requesting $900 for a heated cage and that this cost was a deposit and would be returned upon receipt of the dog. We then had a conversation stating that the contract read for $600 we would receive the puppy. Upon confronting Mr. Maurice Baron he said that he would pay $600 of the $900 if we would pay $300. At this point we said that we no longer wanted the dog so we asked for our money back. We have heard nothing since……
