Type of a scam Online Purchase
On Sep-6-2018, I searched for a specific TV model that I wanted to purchase online (Sony XBR65X930E) and results from Google search showed that HD Vision Max had the lowest price for that particular TV model.
I placed the order online, including billing address. shipping address and credit card information.
The same day I received an email from [email protected] thanking me for my purchase and asking me to call 240-230-3029 to confirm my order.
They told me they needed to verify the address and security code on the back of my card – which I provided.
The person that answer the call tried to make me change the order to another, more expensive model. I did not agree to the change in model.
My card was never charged.
I called to follow up on my order on Sep-7, Sep-12, Sep-19, Sep-26 and Oct-8.
Every time I called to follow-up, the same man answered the phone, told me he needed to check and call me back. When I protested and told him he never called back he would always hung up the phone. He hung up every call I made since Sep-12, including today, Oct-8.

I haven’t bought anything from them , I am trying to verify if this is a legitimate business or scam. Maybe a bait switch or upsell scam .

HDVisionMax website
Ordered TV online, immediate call from seller asking to "upgrade TV" "why do you want an old TV?"
email confirmation of purchase on 6-26-18, credit card never charged, as of 7-16-18 no word on TV, called the listed phone number and a man answered "Hello?" told him I was calling about our TV order, he took the last name of the order and said he would call me back, asked to speak to a manager and he immediately hung up the phone, no call back. Googled this company and other people have reported the same story. Please stop this scam. I will be canceling my credit card.
