Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received a USPS Priority mail package from HAS Concepts LLC, 5070 Valley Crest Dr. Concords, CA 94521, which contained a letter and a check drawn from ENT in Colorado Springs, CA. The check was in the amount of $1256.00. The letter stated I had been chosen to participate in a MoneyGram evaluation study. It requires me to cash the check, keep $372 for myself and go to a MoneyGram location and transfer $884 via Money Gram to Jeoffrey Kerrel Barrell, 109 Lovern Ln. Graham, TX 76450. I was then instructed to contact Dennis Rosenblum 646-883-6055 to receive my second assignment and the money to fulfil the assignment.
I contacted ENT, which is a credit union and found that the check is fraudulent. I also have a copy of the check but can only send one image at a time, I will send it as a separate report.
