Type of a scam Rental
I had inquired to this person to rent their house in Fort Collins, CO. The rent was $850 for a 3 bed 2 bath home. I had a feeling that it was a scam, but I emailed them anyways. I filled out the short little application (did not provide my SSN or anything like that) and got "approved" the same day. This person then proceeded to text me on my cell phone and I went back and forth with them, I called them out on the whole thing being a scam and this is what they said word for word "You don’t have to worry about sending us the money because me and my family are a God fearing family that can never act or involve in any kind of fraud. So get your mind relax and have faith in God almighty because we are so much excited to have you as our new home tenant." I kept asking them if I could look at the place before I committed myself to it (playing along with the scam to see how far they would take it) and their response was "Like I told you in my previous email that I took along the keys with me here due to the situation of my sick mother so you can just drive by and take a look at the house the outside.. then you will have to come with the security deposit as for we to use that hold the house till your move in date okay.." I then asked for pictures of the inside and they sent me 19 photos of the "house". So I asked to see some paperwork, I will attach the "lease agreement" below. And you can see that whoever signed the document, it says "Howard".
