This man answered my plea for immediate help when my sump pump line burst. He came to my home, driven by his wife…later told me his licence was suspended…he looked at my problem, said he’d have to rent a snake for 100.00$ but he didn’t have any cash on him. He was a very nice, charming young man as was his wife. I gave him 100 dollars. He said he’d be back the next day with the snake and my problem would be fixed. I never saw him again. I called and called the number on his ad, but no one ever answered or returned my calls. I told them I’d be reporting them to the police and Kijiji. I have done both. This couple are in their early thirties, both very slim. She has short red hair. He is small and wiry very hyper. They drive a small orange SUV with the driver running light out. I was very ill at the time and am an older woman. These kinds of people have to be stopped. If they get away with it once they will just keep doing it and get even more emboldened.
