Type of a scam Employment

This company emailed me on three separate occasions to recruit me for an interview and possible employment. The dates emails were received are 2/22/17, 2/23/17 & 2/27/17. The company claimed that zip recruiter sent them my infomation and when I reached out to zip recruiter they told me they don’t send employers anyone’s information without notification at the very least.

I then agreed to an online interview on 3/2/17 (red flag #1) via Google Hangouts with a person named, Sophia Wilson. "She" then proceeded to ask me some simple interview questions regarding my work and education history and I responded to everything. The person started sending company information and salary ranges for training and full time telecommunication work. After exploring the website and noticing I was unable to speak to someone over the phone (red flag #2) I really started to become skeptical of this employment offer.

After about an hour or so of this online interview, the "company" said I was hired and they needed me to start immediately (red flag#3) every new employer you start with is aware you’ll need to give your current one two weeks notice.

After the offer of employment was extended, the company then told me I would need to purchase all my working materials and that they will be sending a check in my name to cash at my bank so that I can purchase everything I need to do the job. (Red flag #4)

It has now been a week since the employment offer and the online interview. I received a suspicious check shipped to me via USPS flat rate express mailing envelope on 3/9/17 with just the check in it. No envelope or statement was attached nor was the company name on the check. They didn’t send anything on a company letterhead, no logos, more information regarding their bogus business, nothing! The check is made out to me in the amount of $4,250. The person I have been communicating with "Sophia Wilson" via google hangouts is now pressuring me to cash the check and telling me when I will have time to cash it, little do they know I have been on to their scam the entire time!

PLEASE B.B.B! STOP THEM FROM SCAMMING OTHERS OUT OF THEIR JOBS AND MONEY…LEADING VICTIMS TO UNEMPLOYMENT AND SCAMMED OUT OF THEIR BANKING INFORMATION!
