I was receiving phone calls beginning last month from a collection agency stating I took a payday loan out about 10 years ago. They had all my information including my bank account number. I consistently told them I had no idea what they were talking, and asked them to send me proof of the payday loan (meaning any paperwork that I might have signed). They never sent me any paperwork and they even called my Mom in Connecticut harassing her about it. They eventually stopped calling until I received a phone call this morning (29July2016) at my work phone number from a mediator company stating the Greenwood Holding Company was taking me to court for a payday loan. I went to Greenwood Holding Company website and tried calling every phone number they have listed for contact information and none of them worked. Not sure what to do from here. Any help you may be able to provide me would be appreciated.
