I am trying to sell my used car on Craigslist through a private seller rather than going to a dealer. I was contacted by Rachel asking for my e-mail so her dad can reach out to me for details. After her father [email protected] started to email me. He said he wanted to come look at the car and talk about offers but needed the title report (vin check) from threports.com. That site isn’t approved by NHTSA (national motor vehicle title information system) so I refused. I sent him a copy of the vin report I currently have and told him that I can run another only from an approved site. After that he stopped messaging me back.
