Received an email asking for my participation in doing surveys for local stores such as Walmart, Apple, Best-buy or local retail store with a payment of $500 per survey. A couple emails exchanges and then I received a cashier’s check for $2,798.50 with a letter to purchase 5 – $500 gift cards. salary of $263.52 and left over of $35. Letter stated to deposit the check then send a text to 502-517-7396 after purchasing gift cards for further instructions. On the back of the letter had 15 questions (which were very simple questions without my relevance. Letter has no address reference, only a name, Dr. Tyler Fabrizio, Survey Evaluation Co-coordinator for Greensboro’s Employment Solutions. Wording in letter wasn’t grammatically correct. Cashiers Check looked very legit from City National Bank, routing number 077517320. Last numbers on the check should match check number which it did not. Check number at the top of the check shows 77517320. In routing at bottom of the check was 851844. Too many red flags!
