Type of a scam Debt Collections
I was called at work saying that I was going to be served with papers. I said I would not sign for papers that I did not know of. I was informed it was from GF Group. Asked for a phone number and was not given one. The next day I was called again and left a voicemail. I called back and was told that I owed a debt. I asked for validation to be sent to me as the debt they referred too was with a different collection agency. I asked for validation that the debt had been sold to them before I would speak with them further. Called back and asked for address to send debt validation letter and was told I would not be allowed to send such a thing. Put on hold and then given an address that is located at a mailbox location.
