Type of a scam Debt Collections
A caller by the name of Investigator Peterson called the consumer threatening the daughter that the dad had an outstanding debt that he needed to pay. The caller stated he was with Great Lake Mediation, calling on a debt the father had with Platinum City Bank, and if he did not pay they were sending the police to arrest him. The father called the person back he spoke with the receptionist Kelly, consumer asked what this is concerning what kind of business is this. The first time she stated the consumer had the wrong number. The second time she stated they have other floors hear, consumer heard her talking to someone in the background. The final time he called they sent him to a guy that stated his first name was an investigator and the second name was an investigator. Investigator Peterson started calling consumer a little boy, and that he had his social security number, and read off all of his information. The consumer stated this does not sound legitimate and the investigator stated the police were going to come and arrest him. The investigator Peterson sounded like an older African American, but not foreign.
