Grand Vacations

Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

Received a call claimed to be from Grand Vacations and I won some sort of prize that I supposedly signed up for or one of my family members did. The caller had an Indian accent. The caller said I had submitted a ballot and was trying to get me to verify demographic details before they would transfer me to a supervisor to get my claim code that I would need to present in person with my significant other at their Bloomington office.

A quick visit to their website indicated they have an office in Illinois. I think the scammer may be using a legitimate website of a company that may exist to provide me a sense of false trust, but I could not connect with the contact number on the website at the time of this report.

I believe they are trying to collect personal information for some sort of scam, wasn’t able to get any more details after I refused to answer their questions.
