Total money lost $1,670

Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

My dream vacation turned into just that! A dream. I purchased in October and suppose to have 18 months to use. I called to schedule and no one answers. I have called and called. At first I just thought maybe they were busy..so I waited a few days to call back. I still have not been able to get anyone on the phone. It’s weird because when I first purchased the trip someone would call often to schedule and now, nothing. I started researching and found out that it was a scam. I have lost about $1600!!!! And yes, they called my cell number initially. I also received an email confirmation of my trip. So sad. Never again.

Company calls your cell phone and is disguised with your city’s area code. They claim you have recently stayed at one of their hotels and have won a free trip to the Bahamas, etc.

Everything is automated unless you answer yes to their questions of legal age, etc. When I finally talked with someone live, she said she worked for Grand Imperial Cruises. They have been calling me at least 5x a week. When I stated I would be reporting this to the BBB, she said I would be placed on the do not call list.
