I received a call on my mobile phone from a number that appeared to be a local cell number. I answered, and a lady speaking broken English claimed to be calling from a government student loan forgiveness program, and asked if I had student loans. I told her I couldn’t speak at the time and hung up. Over the next several hours I received at least 12 calls from local numbers all beginning with 229-400-9….They continue calling although I have not answered again, never leave a voicemail, and each time the last 3 digits of the number are different, so blocking the number doesn’t work.
