Type of a scam Tech Support

It started with an email or a text message saying there was a threat of loss of my internet service, "press 1". I did. The scammer posed as a representative of Google G Suite, to help me with detected threats starting with people getting into my gmail account from 2 other states, and he stated that using unsecured internet could have exposed me to risks, that my IP address was visible and all my passwords, and someone had hacked my account and I needed to secure it immediately, that he would help me do that by running a tool on my computer and I had to let him have access to my computer. Then he showed me 9 security threats, a "worm," and 200 other "threats." I got scared and he told me they needed security licenses, multipurpose Google Play cards that I could get at Walgreen’s, for $300. He assured me that the charges would be instantly credited back to my credit card. I bought them and demanded proof that they would be credited back. But this proof was not forthcoming. Then he wanted me to buy three MORE $100 cards and I finally realized I was being had and refused. After that I canceled my credit card immediately, changed passwords on my Amazon and Paypal and credit union and alerted people on my email list. I’m afraid he may have got my social security number.
