Type of a scam Rental
Hi! Found an add on craigslist for a 3bd, 2br, listed for $850 a month in a very nice area of town. Craigslist is always a little sketchy, but occasionally you *do* run into good deals. I figured I’d take my chances and see if it was just a nice old couple trying to rent out their house in these crazy times. Turns out, it was too good to be true and definitely a scam! The man on the other end of the line was nice and convincing enough, but momma didn’t raise no fool, hunny. I had to trust my gut. I checked the address on the county website, and sure enough, the property is definitely owned by another couple. I’ve reached out to this man via email and phone number to see if their was any viable explanation, before I reported this, to no prevail. Be careful, guys! Never give out your information without their credentials/proof of ownership first!
