Type of a scam Employment
This scam is supposedly an offer of employment. They invite you to an online interview through Google Hangouts. You go through the interview process and they offer you employment. An employment letter is sent to your email and you are required to print it off, scan and email, or fax it to them. They then send you a check via FEDEX that is to be used to purchase office equipment to set up your home office. You are supposed to deposit the check into your bank account and inform them when the funds are available. The check is fraudulent!!! It is issued through a reputable bank in San Antonio, TX, with the name of Reid & Associates of Texas, LLC. The bank is legitimate, but the check is not.
