Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Invoice-type document asking for $2,890.00 for trademark monitoring and "protection" for "up to 2019" (received end of 2018) No specifics on invoice or website about services provided. Numerous Internet references to this company as a "scam."

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

We received two letters in the mail from Glotrade claiming to protect our trademark from copyright infringement for $2,890. In the small print, they say that any payment will become a legally binding contract with them. They do state in that small print that this is not an invoice and they are not connected with a registered government organization. But for anyone who initially sees this, they may think otherwise. It is my understanding, after looking into this, that all they are really offering is a private database of patents and trademarks. I fail to see how that offers you any of the protection that they are claiming you should pay for. Very misleading.

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

I was mailed the attached "invoice" in response to a trademark I had recently filed. I was concerned due to the high balance and after I had received 2 of these for 2 separate trademarks and it looked like a bill that I owed to this company for an unknown service. Upon further inspection of the fine print, I read that this was an "offer" and it would commence upon payment. It also states that once you agree/pay you are stuck with this company in a "legally binding" contract for a year. Beware, read the fine print and don’t just pay these scammers!
