Victim tried to sell timeshare through GTR (Global Timeshare Resales). Company requested $2,200 as upfront fee before transaction could take place. This was to be for transfer of deed, title search & legal frees. After they paid they waited for deal to be completed so they could receive there money. Company had buyers in place. GTR’s phone # is (800) 399-6042. Fax (877) 254-6906. Address is 384 Forest Ave., Laguna Beach, CA 92651. At this point, company still did not complete deal and told victim that they needed to pay $3,500 more as a "Luxury Tax". Victim refused. GTR advertisement states: "No Commissions! . . No Closing Costs! . . No Hidden Costs!"
