Type of a scam Online Purchase
I tried to buy a puppy online. Everything was fine until the seller told me they were shipping the dog via global sky delivery. I soon received three emails telling me I had to insure the dog for $770 and that I would get all of my money back within 24 hours of the delivery. The email also stated that their accounts were being audited, so they wanted me to send them money via Money Gram or Western Union. The phone on their website doesn’t work so I sent an email expressing my concern. I got a call from Aberdeen, Maryland. A man with a strong accent kept assuring me everything was fine but something didn’t feel right. The seller of the dog has not contacted me since; they were probably working together.
