"GPP" Global Publications Processing, Inc. in Bellingham, WA. mails out magazine "renewal" / "new order" offers to subscribers of various publications, and requests you send a check made out to GPP.
BEWARE… this has NOTHING to do with your subscription!

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
This is a bill that I do not owe, never ordered the product, and have never heard of the company. I consider it to be a magazine mail order scam. The phone number on the bill is a hair salon. I found lots of complaints online and another phone number, where you get a recording to leave a message with no identification of the company.
Turning the bill over, I see their "Term and Conditions" — "The offer that you have received is just an offer and not a bill or invoice and you are under no obligation to either buy or renew at this time or any time in the future. However, you can enjoy all the benefits of having our company manage all of your magazine subscriptions……." They seem to think this protects them from liability, but I consider it a deceptive lie: It is an invoice and it is asking for payment of money. Many people will not be observant enough to look at the back of the invoice to see it’s a trick.
