I received a friend request of an acquaintance on Facebook. Immediately after I accepted the friend request I received an instant message from this friend asking me if I had received an email or a text from this Global Grant Fund Foundation saying she saw my name on their winners list and that I should contact their agent Robert Calkins at 908-768-2821 to find out if my name was still on their winners list. I did not call this number. I recognized this as a scam and checked with the BBB and found out that it is a scam using people’s Facebook friends names to reach out to possible targets.
