Our patient has received repeated calls from Diabetic Care Group wanting personal information such as, social security number, date of birth, address, etc. They state that her family doctor has sent an order for diabetic supplies and they need more information. When I called the number that they left for the patient I got a generic message that stated "Press 1 to be taken off our call list. Press 2 to speak to an operator." When I pressed 2 it went to a voice mail box. This patient has also called this number and has pressed 1, but they continue to call.
When a patient needs diabetic supplies, they are given a written prescription or it is sent electronically to a local pharmacy. The patient can take the written prescription wherever they choose. We DO NOT give out any information to Diabetic Supply Companies!
When I googled this company "Scam Alert" came up.
The phone number that was given for Diabetic Care Group is 713-357-6438.
