Type of a scam Employment
I have had two separate companies supposedly based out of Australia, contact me within the last week requesting an interview with me. These two Companies are completely different, seem legit, and have eerily the same request format and content. I am a transitioning Army Officer beginning my job search. Both companies state that they found my data in the veterans center job portal. I do have information on the job portal that they could be trolling for victims. Anyway, I am very uncomfortable with the situation but I am so new to the job market that I just don’t know. Both companies want to conduct the interview over instant messenger.
The companies are called UCX limited and Genesis Resources Limited.
I conduct the interview with Genesis Resources Limited and he did ask what bank I use. That was the only personal information that he asked for to see if their direct deposit system matches up. A little weird.
