Total money lost $1,500

Type of a scam Phishing

Was told business was closing, and I was to be refunded money that I had paid to them. Got into my computer and after several days I was told the money could only be transferred to my checking account. Wanted me to verify my balance to show difference after money was transferred. A mistake was made on the transfer and instead of typing $*** , $*** was entered. The man said the money had already been credited to my account and had to be returned to them. They had me purchase 3 Walmart gift cards of $*** each. I wanted to check my account but they insisted the money had been posted. My fault, I should have called my bank, but did not and they received $l*** . My social security money.
