I received an email from the "Geek Tech Squad" company to inform me there would be an auto debit renewal from my credit card. I never signed up for such services from this company. They claimed I had originally signed up over a year ago for a server protection plan which I do not use. (Microsoft). When I asked for more info: ie: name on the supposed acct., original acct. #, service provided, the answers were vague , they would not or could not give me some of the answers due to " privacy issues". They asked if I wanted to cancel this service (which I said no it never existed) and when I demanded more info they hung up. I’m thinking that if I had said yes, let’s cancel this supposed service, that it is probably when they would have asked me for my personal info and any banking info. I called my bank provider and reviewed with them if I had originally signed up for such services, ( which was confirmed I did not) and to put a flag on my acct. and the amount and company name that they threatened to auto debit from acct. Thanks for the opportunity to expound upon this interaction with what I feel is a scam.
