I received a email message yesterday (Feb. 3rd 2020) from:- David Brown.
The message is as follow:- Dear Customer, You are receiving this e-mail in regards to the Computer Services you have taken from our company for your PC/LAPTOP. Because of technical fault, ScamPulse.com [Better Business Bureau] has suspended the company’s licence. As per the direction, the company is refunding your full amount i.e. $300 (three hundred dollars) to you. Further, if you want to claim your refund & stop receiving e-mails in this regard, you can give us a call on (904)494-8147. This is our REFUND DEPARTMENT Help-Line number where you get further guidance with the REFUND PROCEDURE. Please tell your CASE ID NUMBER 187500 to the REFUND OFFICER for better & immediate action. I did NOT used the Geek Squad, BestBuy, Online PC Support services recently(2016 to 2020), so why should I claim a refund? The fact it is asking me to call a phone number, most probably it is some kind of a phone scam! For I have been receiving a lot of phone calls displaying US area code numbers with no caller IDs, which I refused to answer! Also, I suspected that my e-mail address has been compromised?!
