Total money lost $650
Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I was seaching online for loans last week and got a call from GE Capital. They said I was pre-approved for a $5,000 loan at 3.4% rate with a $98 payment. After getting some info from me, I was told I needed to get a Google play card for $150 to cover the insurance of the loan. After doing that, I was then told I needed to do the same thing except this time it was for $500 for closing costs. After doing that, I was then told I needed to send another $300 for taxes. That’s when I knew I had been scammed. They keep saying they will refund me but it hasn’t happened yet.

Never give your mobile/internet username or mobile/internet banking password when borrowing money. The main number doesn’t work. The letter head used on paper is powered by a search engine???
The logo design looks like some other known company’s logo. Lending companies only need a bank routing no. and bank account NOT your password.
