Type of a scam Debt Collections
Company contacted me about a debt I settled 7 years ago. They told me they were from GDS and Associates and were trying to keep me from having to go to court. Told me they have been sending letters to my residence, which is false, and if I didn’t settle with them today, they would be filing the paperwork for me to go to court. The scary part was they had my name, address and last 4 of social, along with a legit debt that I used to owe, but settled 7 years ago. Whenever I told them that the debt has been settled and I have paperwork to prove it, they would hang up.
